Plymouth Meeting Friends School (Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania) is seeking a part-time Technology Coordinator with a Bachelors/higher degree preferred. Previous relevant and Friends school technology experience preferred. Plymouth Meeting Friends School is an independent, non-profit Quaker school serving students from Pre-K (age 3 years) through 6th grade in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. The Technology Coordinator is responsible for the management, maintenance, and future development of the computer, telephone network/telecommunications, security, and website including all devices attached to the computer network. This includes but is not limited to managing the servers, users, workstations and all software used on devices attached to the network and telephone systems. In particular: manage users, maintain backup system, maintain virus protection and spam reduction systems, maintain internet connectivity, maintain and develop user access offsite, provide help desk services for users, oversight of the security systems, safely dispose of old equipment and assist the school in the purchase of new equipment.

Job Description Technical Support Specialist Summary : Work under the direction of the Director of Technology with the Network Administrator by providing technical assistance and training to Friends Select faculty, staff and students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to users by email, phone or direct contact with the user.
- Provide support for both Mac and PC systems.
- Work with the Network Administrator to configure user’s equipment.
- Provide training to clients in the use of network resources and applications including audio and video applications.
- Identify and correct or advise on operational issues in user’s computer systems.
- Install network-related equipment. This includes workstations, printers, projectors, etc. Some light lifting and use of power tools are required.
- Work with the Network Administrator to create and maintain network accounts.
- Provide support for faculty and staff who create, maintain and update Web pages.
- Perform tasks related to network maintenance as requested by the Network Administrator.
- Become trained in and provide support for Blackbaud.
The Ideal candidate also will possess the following skills: - The ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Be self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
- Have experience with both Mac and PC systems.
- Have experience with Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
- Be proficient in Web page development.
- Have excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal/customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Have some Microsoft, Mac and Network certifications.
- Have experience working in a school culture.
