Habib Gorgi

Board Clerk, Moses Brown School 

Education: Brown University, A.B.; Columbia University, M.B.A.

Habib Y. Gorgi, Board Clerk, Moses Brown School, came to Moses Brown as a student in 1970 and never left. A member of the class of 1974, and the father of three Moses Brown students, Habib has served, and continues to serve, his alma mater in a variety of ways. As Board Clerk, Habib has overseen important facilities and program enhancements and renewed the school's commitment to the principles of Friends education. He has been a tireless champion and steward for Moses Brown School.

Habib is Managing Director at Nautic Partners, LLC, where he focuses on business services and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Nautic Partners, he was the President at Fleet Equity Partners, the predecessor firm of Nautic Partners, LLC. Prior to this, he worked for BankAmerica and Fleet Bank. He has been a Director of FTD.Com Inc. since May 1999. Mr. Gorgi also serves as a Director of IOS BRANDS, Ariba, Inc, and several privately-held companies. He has been responsible for Nautic Partners, LLC investment in and currently serves as a Director of Simonds Industries Inc. since 1995 and was a Director of FTD Inc. since January 1997. Mr. Gorgi is the Chairman of MACTEC, Inc. He also served as a Director of Florists' Transworld Delivery, Inc. 

Habib received an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1983 and an A.B. from Brown University in 1978.
