John Littleford is Senior Partner of Littleford Associates
, which he founded in 1992. Littleford & Associates has worked with over 3,000 clients worldwide on the topics of head and faculty compensation and evaluation, governance, executive search, marketing, fundraising, financial management, school climate and strategic planning.
Previously, John served as a head of school for 18 years and a teacher and administrator for 25 years, and he has also served as a trustee and board chair of schools and nonprofit agencies.
John has written and spoken extensively worldwide on each area of the firm's consulting expertise and is the co-author of the book, "Faculty Salary Systems in Independent Schools", a landmark publication on the topic that was published by NAIS from 1983-1994, His articles on the career ladder concept of faculty compensation are found in Larry Frase's book, titled "Teacher Motivation and Compensation." John earned his B.A. degree from Dickinson College, a Critical Language Degree from Princeton University, and an M.A., as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration and Leadership, from Harvard University.
