TECHedADVIS Speaker Line-Up
October 9, 2015 was an inspirational day packed with motivating keynotes and TED-style talks from a line-up of well-respected speakers - GAMEChangers in their fields, who are leveraging technology to build and transform the next generation of K-12 learning environments. All shared motivating stories about innovative breakthroughs and big disruptive ideas that advance thinking and practice. We learned from leaders and learners who act as catalysts for change in their schools or communities.

, PhD, is the Principal of Figure 8 Thinking, LLC, and director of the Strategic Design MBA program at Philadelphia University. Her consulting and research interests are at the intersections of creativity and strategy and business and design.
is a co-founder of the Clayton Christensen Institute and serves as the executive director of its education program. He leads a team that educates policy-makers and community leaders on the power of disruptive innovation in K-12 and higher education.
is senior fellow and executive director, emeritus at The George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF), a non-profit operating foundation that utilizes its multimedia website, Edutopia.org, and documentary films to communicate a new vision for 21st Century education.
is the Chief Wrangler of Field Innovation Team (FIT) a non-profit that responds to crises while simultaneously working on disaster preparedness and disaster risk reduction at local, state, national, and international levels.

is the Chief Information Officer at Ravenscroft School and co-author of "Communicating and Connecting with Social Media". Jason has dedicated his career to improving technology in independent schools both on the instructional and infrastructure levels.
teaches US History and Global Citizenship at Research Triangle High School, a public charter school in North Carolina. He blogs about education on "What I Learned Today," and is a proponent of Google Earth as a tool to develop geographic literacy and empathy.

is an upper school english teacher and leadership intern at Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter: A String Theory School. She is an innovative educator and leading the way in the field of technology integration to promote deep learning.
is the Head of Upper School at AIM Academy. As a founding teacher at AIM, he has taught nearly every grade in nearly every discipline. Chris is also an adjunct professor in the school of Graduate Education at St. Joseph’s University.
teaches Upper School English at Moravian Academy. Catherine has transformed the traditional short story anthology course into an experiential ‘story laboratory’, with blended learning and collaborative activities.
is the Computer Science Chair and Dean of Academic Affairs at The Baldwin School. A proponent of women's education and of broadening participation in Computer Science, Laura received the National Center for Women and Information Technology's Educator Award in 2015.
Andy Nguyen is a senior at the William Penn Charter School with a keen interest in the STEM field and audio/visual multimedia. Andy is a 2009 graduate of Steppingstone Scholars and serves as a founding member on the Youth Council for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA).
Lukas DeSimone is a senior at Westtown School. Raised by parents who loved to drag their kids to art openings, but who also challenged them to take everything apart (and at least try to put things back together), Lukas has fostered a passion for art and engineering, and the interdisciplinary space between the two.
