How a new School uses a Passion for Soccer to Develop a Passion for Learning
YSC Academy's innovative model of education is designed around a passion for soccer. This model uses sport as a vehicle to create student directed learners. A passion for soccer brings our student-athletes together a passion for learning sets them apart.
Dr. Nooha Ahmed-Lee
leads YSC Academy as Head of School. Nooha has worked in education for 28 years and has been an administrator for 15 years. She has been the Head of Lower School at William Penn Charter School, Head of Lower and Middle Schools at the Shipley School. She attended The University of Washington, the City University of New York and the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor’s in Education, a Master’s in Education Administration, and a doctorate in Leadership and Professional Education, respectively. She has worked at The Philadelphia School and Chestnut Hill Academy as a teacher, and was teacher and Director of the High School Summer Program at Chestnut Hill Academy. Nooha also serves as an adjunct professor at
St. Joseph’s University
where she teaches an online course on Cognitive Brain Studies and Education. She is passionate about providing the best practices in education for YSC Academy students. Nooha believes that students should have a voice in their education. She is committed to building the best educational environment that nurtures lifelong learning.
