A Randol Benedict

Associate Head of School for Enrollment Management

St. Anne's Belfield School

Professional Bio

With a focus on making schools the best that they can be, Randie has dedicated her professional career to education. Whether helping to shape the trajectory of a major University by broadening the range and ability of students in the Freshman class, building an entire population of students over 19 years as an Admission and Financial Aid Director, leading change in a community as Head of School, or shaping new independent school communities in Philadelphia and now Charlottesville, Randie has taken the time to understand each community to allow each student to recognize and realize their potential. Beginning in 1980 and continuing to the present, Randie has helped each institution she has served move into a stronger position.

Her Board service includes providing significant leadership for several organizations serving the independent school industry. For ten years, she served as Secretary of the Board for PAIS and previously served on the Board at The Association of Independent Maryland Schools. In addition, as a long-time member of the teaching faculty at the Admission Training Institute (ATI), she helped develop strong admission professionals. She served on the EMA Board for ten years and was Chair for the last two years. She has served on the faculty for The Heads Network Leadership Seminar, allowing her to join other Heads of School in providing young women with the tools to advance their own independent school careers. Randie currently serves on the Board for The Woodlynde School in Strafford, PA. She takes pride in the fact that numerous women and men with whom she has worked have moved into leadership in independent schools.
