Professional Bio
Ann is an experienced coach and mentor, having supported many women through her direction of The Heads Network Women's Leadership Seminar and Accelerator. A writer, thought-partner and problem-solver, she retired after 21 years of leading Laurel School, where she founded Laurel's Center for Research on Girls and the school's Environmental Justice Semester and was a founder of One Schoolhouse. Prior to Laurel, she taught at The Chapin School, serving as Director of College Guidance and Head of the Drama Department. She started her teaching career at Northfield Mount Hermon School. For almost 30 years, she was the Artistic Director of the Ensemble Theatre Community School in Eagles Mere, PA. She lives between Eagles Mere and the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She serves as a trustee for The Heads Network, One Schoolhouse, the 1911 Group, and the Agnes Irwin School, the Eagles Mere Conservancy and the Eagles Mere Museum. She is a founder and editor of Well-Schooled, the site for educator story telling and a regular contributor to Bookclique.
