Professional Bio
Tracey Specter has spent more than 30 years working in and alongside the nonprofit sector — as a coach, a board member, a board chair, and someone who genuinely believes in the people who choose this work.
She holds a Master's in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is a certified professional life and leadership coach (PCC). Her coaching is grounded in what the science of positive psychology actually shows: that sustainable change comes from building on strengths, cultivating a growth mindset, and learning to lead from a place of confidence rather than fear.
She has chaired three nonprofit boards and served on more than a dozen. She understands the particular pressures of nonprofit leadership not as an outsider observing them, but as someone who has lived them.
Tracey works with a small number of clients at a time, by design. The work she does is personal, and she takes it seriously. Every engagement begins with a conversation about fit, because good coaching depends on genuine connection.
When she's not working, you'll find her spending time with her husband Shanin, their four daughters, and one son-in-law. She's an avid hiker, nature lover, traveler, triathlete, meditator, yogi, and cook.
