The Fine Print

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations submitted via email to Dena Torino (dtorino@advis.org) at least 14 days prior to the program will receive an 85% refund. Cancellations received fewer than 14 days in advance are non-refundable, as program expenses will have already been incurred. Credits for future events are not available. Non-payment of the registration fee does not constitute cancellation; the full fee remains due and payable. If a registrant is unable to attend, substitutions are permitted in most cases. Please contact Dena Torino (dtorino@advis.org) with any substitution requests.

In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, programs may be delayed, postponed, or modified.

Event and Marketing Communications

By registering for an ADVIS event, you will receive administrative communications related to that event, including confirmations, reminders, and important updates. These communications are essential to your participation and cannot be opted out of while you are registered for the event.

By registering for an ADVIS event, you consent to receive occasional marketing communications from ADVIS about additional programs, resources, and opportunities. You may opt out of these communications at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.

Acknowledgement of Intellectual Property

Participants acknowledge that all event content is the intellectual property of the presenters and/or ADVIS.

Recording, copying, or reproducing event content in any form, including video, audio, or photography, is strictly prohibited. Participants may not share access links, recordings, or materials with individuals outside of their organization.

By attending, participants agree not to record, distribute, or permit others to record or distribute any portion of the event.

Media Release

Registration for or participation in ADVIS events constitutes consent to ADVIS’ use and distribution of the attendee’s image, likeness, or voice in photographs, video, audio recordings, and other media, now and in the future, for promotional and educational purposes.

Recording & Resource Use

Recordings and presenter materials are provided only to registered schools. These resources are intended solely for internal professional development within the registered school community.

Access links and materials may not be copied, shared externally, or distributed beyond the registered school. Unauthorized use or distribution may result in additional registration fees and constitutes a violation of ADVIS agreements with presenters.

The use of AI tools, including AI notetakers, transcription services, or automated recording technologies, whether integrated into meeting platforms or used as third-party tools, is not permitted during ADVIS events. Any unauthorized AI tools detected in virtual programs or meetings will be removed.

Event Modifications and Cancellation by ADVIS

ADVIS reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to inclement weather, low enrollment, speaker availability, or factors beyond its control. In such cases, registrants will be notified and provided with available options.

Limitation of Liability

ADVIS is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in its events, including but not limited to travel costs, lodging expenses, or schedule changes. ADVIS reserves the right to modify event content, speakers, format, or schedule as necessary.

Code of Conduct

ADVIS is committed to providing a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants. Disruptive, inappropriate, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated. ADVIS reserves the right to remove any participant who does not adhere to these expectations, without refund.

Acknowledgement of Risk and Safety Procedures

By attending an ADVIS event, participants acknowledge the inherent risk of exposure to infectious illnesses and voluntarily assume such risks.

Attendees agree to follow all health and safety protocols in place at the time of the event, including any guidelines aligned with public health recommendations. Individuals experiencing symptoms of illness are asked not to attend.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

ADVIS is committed to hosting inclusive, accessible events that support full participation for all individuals.

To request accommodations or inquire about accessibility, please contact Mandie Curtis Banks (mbanks@advis.org). We recommend submitting requests at least two weeks in advance to ensure the best possible experience.
