Organization Overview
Ancillae-Assumpta Academy is a nationally respected private school in Wyncote for boys and girls through 8th grade, featuring a Montessori experience in preschool and kindergarten. A strong Catholic faith foundation—blended with an engaging curriculum, dedicated professionals, exceptional resources, and an involved parent and alumni community—lead its students to become responsible, interdependent, creative, and empowered individuals.

Programmatic Spotlights:
Montessori - Montessori methods educate the whole child in character, problem-solving skills, and creative independence. Program begins at 2 ½ years of age and offers Stepping Stones into Montessori, Montessori Preschool, and Montessori Kindergarten levels.
Innovation - The Academy’s comprehensive Innovation curriculum is anchored by three pillars: engineering, design thinking, and coding. A 1:1 environment in grades PS-8 promotes access, engagement and tailored, personalized learning for each student. With flexible learning environments, students develop critical thinking, planning, and execution skills.
Resource Learning Center - Specialists provide support to students with diagnosed mild learning differences through counseling and instruction. The team of 8 specialists also assist teachers in meeting the needs of all students in the classroom.
Fine Arts - The extra-curricular music program features lessons in over 20 instruments and over 15 different ensemble experiences. Students are immersed in the fine arts from Handbells to Music Tech, from play rehearsals to textile art.
Food Service - Built into tuition, all students enjoy Ancillae’s food program (food allergen safe) with fresh, delicious, and varied offerings.
