Professional Bio

Abby Webster is driven by the opportunity to create meaningful change and inspire others to experience the fulfillment of giving. As Vice President at The Curtis Group, she partners with organizations across sectors and regions to lead campaign planning studies, manage comprehensive campaigns, and strengthen fundraising capacity. Abby is known for building strong partnerships, solving complex challenges, and communicating with clarity and purpose.

Beyond her client work, Abby supports the broader nonprofit community through trainings with the VA Fund Raising Institute, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Tidewater Community College Academy of Nonprofit Excellence, Central VA Academy of Nonprofit Excellence, the VA Gift Planning Council, and the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.

Prior to joining The Curtis Group, Abby held development and volunteer management roles with the Foodbank of Southeastern VA and the Eastern Shore, expanding operations, community outreach, volunteer engagement, and events. She also served with AmeriCorps VISTA at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

Abby graduated with distinction from Penn State University with a B.S. in Business Management. She currently serves as Program Committee Chair for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Central Virginia Chapter, is a past board member of AFP Hampton Roads, and co-chairs the VA Fund Raising Institute. In 2020, she was named a “40 Under 40” honoree by Inside Business for her professional and community impact.

Abby lives in Richmond, Virginia, where she enjoys staying active, volunteering, cheering on the Nittany Lions, and spending time with her husband, Doug.
