Alison Abrams

Alison Abrams is a Senior Associate Director of College Counseling at Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, New Jersey. Prior to RPS, she spent six years in College Counseling at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia and five years as a School Counselor at Livingston High School in New Jersey. In addition to helping students navigate the college search and application process, she served in coaching and advising roles. She holds school counseling certification in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, an M.S.Ed. in School & Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania, and a certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. Before she became a counselor, Alison spent more than a decade working in art and design, so helping students with the application and portfolio process for the visual arts is an area of particular interest for her.
