Erin Allen

Erin Gibson Allen advises employers on labor and employment law, workplace investigations, nonprofit governance, and reputation and crisis management. She works with nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on employment matters, board governance, organizational management, executive search, and leadership oversight, drawing on extensive experience serving in leadership roles on nonprofit boards.

A former journalist, Erin brings strong investigative skills to complex workplace investigations involving senior leadership complaints, employee theft, workplace safety, harassment, and discrimination. She also advises employers on reductions in force and represents organizations in labor matters, including collective bargaining, union grievances, representation elections, strike contingency planning, and unfair labor practice charges.

Before joining Fisher Phillips, Erin handled antitrust matters and complex litigation and served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Erin is a frequent speaker on workplace investigations, career development, leadership, and board service and has been interviewed by The New York Times and BBC News. She also serves as an adjunct professor and regularly speaks with law students about transitioning into the legal profession.
