Mark Stanek

Mark Stanek is Shady Hill School’s sixth Head of School where he has led the community for the last 15 years. Mark currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Leadership + Design and on the NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) Board where he is a member of the Equity & Justice Committee. Mark started his education career as a Middle School math teacher and track coach before taking on administrative positions in independent schools. He is a lifelong learner who enjoys running, pickleball, traveling and baking healthy desserts.
