Professional Bio
Since 2008, Warren has been a dedicated advocate for students navigating the complex landscape of college admissions, bringing nearly two decades of experience to this pivotal educational journey. He began his career in higher education on the institutional side of admissions, serving as a Senior Regional Admissions Counselor for his alma mater, Louisiana State University, and later as Senior Assistant Director for Regional Enrollment at Miami University. These roles provided Warren with a deep, strategic understanding of how admission decisions are made and how institutions shape their incoming classes.
Driven by a passion for student-centered work, Warren transitioned to “the other side of the desk,” where he has thrived as a college counselor at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta and St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. He currently serves as the Associate Director of College Counseling at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, and is also an Assistant in the Office of Community and Equity, roles that allow him to support students both academically and holistically. His work centers on positioning students for success during critical moments of their high school careers while helping them authentically articulate who they are and what they value.
Warren’s professional engagement extends beyond his school community. He has served on the board of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling, currently serves as a trustee for the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS), and co-leads the Black and African Diaspora Interest Group for NACAC. At Episcopal, he also co-advises the Black Student Alliance and the Black/African American Affinity space.
Outside of work, Warren is an avid foodie, traveler, concertgoer, and a proud LSU Tigers fan.
