Will Bladt

After more than 30 years in independent schools in New England, California, Tennessee, and the Pacific Northwest, I’ve served as a science teacher, division director, enrollment management director, athletic director, development director, and associate head of school. Across those roles, the work that has always fulfilled me most has been developing other leaders, helping them grow, lead with clarity, and succeed on their own terms.

Independent school leaders carry enormous responsibility, often with little dedicated support. I know firsthand that the right support at the right moment can make the difference between simply managing the work and truly thriving in it.

My passion is coaching the leaders who drive the daily life of schools: directors, assistant heads, deans, department chairs, and others who sit at the intersection of people, programs, and priorities. These leaders are the backbone of our schools, and they deserve thoughtful, strategic, and personalized support as they navigate complexity and lead with confidence.

At ElevatED, I bring collaboration, candor, and practical tools to the work. I help leaders think strategically, communicate clearly, strengthen relationships, and make decisions aligned with their values and school missions, while keeping students and teachers at the heart of the work.

Outside of coaching, I’m usually chasing my own version of balance: snowboarding and camping with family and friends, biking the Idaho hills, being a ballet dad to my oldest daughter, or coaching my youngest daughter on the soccer field. Meditation, yoga, and the occasional 5 a.m. boot camp keep me grounded.

My goal at ElevatED is simple: to support the people who make independent schools extraordinary, so they can lead authentically, grow into their potential, and keep showing up for the communities that depend on them.
