Participants will explore the fundamentals of strategic planning and leave with concrete, actionable plans to drive meaningful, sustainable transformation in their roles and institutions—centering DEIJB work and extending its impact across all areas.

Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the stakes, the urgency, and the opportunity that strategic planning presents for those committed to meaningful institutional impact.

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM | RAISING AMBASSADORS: LEADING CHANGE FOR GREATER ADVOCACY Norm Jones, President/CEO, Integrated Diversity
This interactive workshop equips participants with practical strategies for building collaboration and sustaining meaningful partnerships. Attendees will learn how to assess organizational readiness for distributed DEI leadership, apply mental models that strengthen DEI ambassadorship, and identify key “pockets of power” within their institutions to better align and leverage resources that advance DEI priorities.

Norm Jones is an organization development consultant focused on equity-minded change managment and leadership. Dr. Jones has held senior diversity officer roles at Dickinson College, Harvard University, Amherst College and Haverford College. As a consultant he has worked with both not for profit and private corporations to build leader and team capacity and build sustainable infrastures to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
